          1. Yes, dave…I am familiar with Rorschach tests…but all I see in your post is a blank box with a tiny icon in the upper left corner….

I don't have time anyway, got a very busy day…nevermind. smiley

  1. While voter fraud as anything close to a factor in elections is pure myth, the GOP, as always, is up to it's usual anti small "d' democratic vote suppression tricks.

Donald Trump regularly tells his supporters that the election has been rigged against him, and on Monday he accused Hillary Clinton’s campaign of utilizing a “voter suppression technique” that involved manipulating polls. (Politifact rated his claim “pants on fire” false.)

But with early voting now underway in several states, the real-world effects of actual (and very consequential) voter suppression have begun to bubble up.

Exhibit A is North Carolina, where in recent months reporters discovered that state Republican leaders had sent emails directing GOP appointees on local elections boards to “make party line changes” to limit early voting.

In one message, titled “CRITICAL and CONFIDENTIAL,” a Republican district chairman urged election officials to offer only one early voting site for the minimum hours allowed by law, so as not to give Democrats an advantage.

Early in-person voting began in North Carolina on Oct. 20, and Professor Michael McDonald, an elections expert at the University of Florida, said the impact of reduced voting sites is already evident in early returns:

Not all local boards listened, but some did, and the effect is obvious. The volume of early voting is generally down in the counties that reduced the number of polling locations and is up where the number increased.

      1. One can only hope. nationwide I think it was close to 15%, last I saw, not voting Trump and his poll numbers here are tending toward wave range so maybe you're underestimating?

      2. Couldn't find a specific breakdown and am out of time but did find this:

As of now, GOP voters largely want the party to stand behind Trump. Nearly three-quarters of Republican voters, 74 percent, surveyed on Saturday said party officials should continue to support Trump. Only 13 percent think the party shouldn’t back him.

That would seem to be at least related to the percentage voting for him and those choosing not to and Colorado could well be under average in Republican Trump support, especially among women. Guess we'll see.

        1. What's interesting is the bloodbath that's going to erupt when the House Republicans gather to nominate a speaker (sad) or minority leader (smiley) after the election. Looks like Paul Ryan is going to be going the way of John Boehner.

          1. And it's never going to occur to the Trump wing that the only reason they don't have the full support of the leadership is because Trump makes it so hard for them to support him. Has there ever been another election where the GOP leadership  has such a hard time supporting the presidential nominee? Another election where some GOP candidates are threatening to sue over ads that say they support their own presidential nominee? If Trump and his supporters know why this election is so different all they have to do is look in the mirror.

Of course the same goes for the GOP leaders and candidates who profess to being horrified by Trump as if they haven't been playing to the lowest of motivations in their party for decades.

Trump. GOP. Boy do you ever deserve each other.

  2. My local (Republican) Clerk and Recorder's Facebook page this morning…making sure the Drumpsters don't 'lose heart' …

    Yuma County Clerk & Recorder

To inform you the elector, there is absolutely NO WAY the media or anyone for that matter can predict an outcome of this election by how many democratic and republican ballots are returned.  So what is x% of the D and R have returned their ballots–who is to say they voted straight party lines?  No results will be issued to the media until AFTER 7 p.m. on November 8th.  Share this information with your friends, family, neighbors, etc.  Do not be discouraged by the media as they only report what they want to report and it is NOT ALWAYS FACT!

Even though the R's out number the D's in Yuma County the Unaffiliated voters out number both.

We will release the first numbers around 7:30 p.m. on Election Night and then have updates as ballots are processed.  There will be a link on our webpage http://www.yumacounty.net then click on elections scroll down and look for the ENR link.

Of course you may call 970-332-5809 for results as well.  We can receive email but I can not guarantee that we will be viewing our emails much with all we have to do.

Please be pro-active!  Make your voice heard!  Vote!

    1. ummm… isn't the clerk supposed to present as someone interested first and foremost in running the fairest election possible, someone who wouldn’t dream of putting a partisan thumb on the electoral scale?  This FB post isn't exactly confidence inspiring in that regard. Highly unprofessional.
