Westboro Baptist's Pathetic Capitol Protest Underway

  • by: Colorado Pols

A photo sent to us of the scene at the West Steps of the Colorado state capitol building a short while ago–the always-classy, possibly inbred congregation of Topeka, Kansas' Westboro Baptist Church going through the motions of another feeble shockfest:

Westboro

So, that's news: God hates 420 too? A new addition to the repertoire for Colorado we assume! As readers know, the Westboro Baptist Church short bus is due next week in Pueblo as well, so it makes sense they'd make some special signs just for us. It's actually maybe even a little bit flattering–and we suppose if they have to hate on something, it's better to hate an inanimate object.

And…that's all the attention we care to give these sad little people today.

    1. Dear Leader was actually excommunicated from his own church because in his last days, he changed his mind and started making nice with the protesters…

      1. Fred Phelps , Sr. probably wasn't excommunicated. At least, the church would never confirm Nathan Phelps' facebook post about it.

The trend is fewer and fewer WBC protesters carrying more and more signs. At this rate, in 2015, we can look to see 2 WBC protesters, carrying 10 signs each, still getting mainstream media attention. Pretty pathetic.

The Pueblo counter protest against the WBC is now called "Love is the Higher Ground".  The counter protest will assemble at 11 am at the Pueblo Courthouse on the 29th.

  1. Although I'm now pretty much now a confirmed agnostic/ athiest, my extensive (and sadly, still unforgettable) religious upbring, plus the innumerable comparative religion studies, classes, texts and related books that I have read or attended all lead me to this one universal certainty: There is no credible religious text or scripture anywhere that begins, or can be read in summary to complete the sentence, "God hates . . . [anything in his/her/its creation]."  Nothing.  Period.  End of story.

These people are the absolute bottom-of-the-barrel worst of humanity!
