It's that time again. Remember to cast your vote based on who you think will win, not on who you support.

Glad to see the Schaffer staff voted!

Schaffer will win if he runs smart campaign
Whether he will run for the Senate or for a place in Jim Dobson's heaven remains to be seen.

I know that denver just decriminalized pot, but that doesn't make it legal
so put down the bong before posting.

What you are not high? Seriously? You really believe Shaffer can win absent a Udall meltdown?

[ Parent ]
still the #2 Senate race in the county
dont get ahead of yourself

[ Parent ]
Not only can Udall lose, but Schaffer can win
Yes the most likely outcome is a Udall win. And yes number 2 is Udall blowing it and losing.

But I think Schaffer can win this too. It's 3rd in likelyhood but if he mounts a strong centrist campaign and hammers Udall he could beat him.

Remember, Colorado is purple, not blue.

That's too big of an "if".....First, he's running this "I'm not a Candidate Yet" strategy which isn't getting him much traction.  More importantly, we've known him for 15 years.  What are the chances that he'll run as a "centrist"?

[ Parent ]
I would have agreed, but he is not running a centerist campaign
He has moved right, unless he moves to the left before the new year, he can not win.

[ Parent ]
Sooner is better
But he could wait till September and still win because most people don't pay attention until then.

It was a joke
A staff is also a long pole you can use while walking.

It was a pretty lame joke.

Ed Ulibarri
Soon Montrose City Councilman Ed Ulibarri (R) will announce his bin for Congress to challenge Rep. John Salazar. Ulibarri plans on running a grassroots campaign and going after the unaffiliated voters with a green message.

My vote in Aug. is going to be for Wayne Wolf and Ed Ulibarri (the under dogs in the race for the US House and Senate).
