Colorado Pols in the News

From The Vail Daily:

There's Joan Fitz-Gerald at 3-1, Jared Polis at 12-1 and Will Shafroth at 15-1.

But farther down a list handicapping the race for next year's 2nd Congressional district seat are, side-by-side, two names quite familiar to Eagle County residents: County Commissioner Arn Menconi and former county commissioner Tom Stone.

Stone, a Republican, and Menconi, a Democrat, were sometimes adversaries while serving together. Both pegged at 30-1 odds to become U.S. congressman. The odds are at the political Web site coloradopols.com.

woo hoo.
the Vail Daily. wow. That's really big time. zang.

Take Menconi off 2CD
Eagle County c'mis Menconi is actually looking at the Senate 8, however Democrats are still plowing the road for other possible candidates since Arn may not be "middle of the road" enough for this more conservative district.

Rep. Al White(R)supposidly bought property in Hayden to qualify to run for the 8th, however rumors are his Hayden location is nothing but a empty lot and his main residence is actually in the Denver area.

30:1 pretty good odds, considering Stone's open investigation
Considering that the local District DA still hasn't closed - nor investigated "due to conflicts of interest since Stone's wife is the Chair of the local Republican Party" - a real estate deal with a county contractor that netted Stone $300K's a couple of years ago, 30:1 odds seem fairly strong for the fellow.

Go pols
Congrats on the press

Attaboy/girl
Hey, any media exposure is good exposure (I suppose).
