POLS UPDATE: sxp151 has been released from The Penalty Box with time served on good behavior. We should note that we really enjoyed his contributions to The Penalty Box. You might go take a look if you have a moment, because this is how we always envisioned The Penalty Box — a lighthearted way to calm down a flame war or enforce the Pols Posting Policies, where users can write whatever they want (but nobody can comment on their diatribes).

It’s time for a cooling-off period in these continuous flamewars with other users. Let’s keep things minimally on the topics at hand going forward. For unnecessary personal attacks, sxp151 is sentenced to 2 days in The Penalty Box.

  I know with whom sxp was upset and why, and I did see a couple of remarks that could be construed as flaming, but dang, it wasn’t much. Makes me think that something big must have erupted when I wasn’t paying attention (and I’ve actually checked in a lot today, and recently, compared to just looking in once or twice a day…)

    is that Pols always seems more interested in retribution than rehabilitation. They have far and away the highest recidivism rate of any blog in Colorado.
    
    Two days from now SXP will be out on the streets — tossed back into society with no additional coping skills. What then? Just look at what happened to poor Libertad.
    
    You can’t just lock up your problems, and forget about them, and hope they go away Alva. What are we, barbarians? This is the twenty-first century for God’s sake . . . so sad. Only three hours after RSB was forced out — what the hell is happening to my beloved blog?
