  1. Trump stinks.

But Colorado and Texas are now launched on the path to being stink free zones.

Special congratulations to Cary Kennedy for proving that brains and integrity can still triumph in politics.

And to Jared Polis for carrying the banner of a political moderate in the sometimes stony ground of Colorado caucuses.

One of these two will be our candidate for governor and a very worthy one.

Also, Jena Griswold, take a bow as the newest star in the Democratic constellation.

On the other side, they loves them some stink they does.

        1. If only we’d of had one Democratic Governor these past 12 years, things would have gotten fixed!?!

Notice to Jared and Cary — I’m not voting for any anyone for Governor who doesn’t campaign with a plan for addressing Tabor.  No one.

And, to be clear, I mean the elimination of the automatic refunding, budget caps formulas, and the ratcheting down mechanisms . . .

. . . keeping voter approval for any new taxes or tax increases is fine, after that, all the rest of the Brucian detris need to go!

    1. I think CCASA should make a point of showing up at the Legislative chambers earlier in the day, before they gather in the Old Supreme Court Chambers.  There's bound to be some opportunity for presenting information about Sexual Assault Awareness — who knows, it might even count as the class that various Senators may be voluntarily mandated to take.

  2. I got an e-mail from a mark Williams who said he flew jets in Iraq and now wants to be my "wingman" in Congress.

I thought Congress was already full of wingnuts.

  3. Direct action in Greeley – activists locked themselves to the bulldozer that had  started work on the 24 well pad installation next to Bella Romero K-8 school.

Here's the video, by Suede Light Brigade. (Warning on the video – the first 10 minutes bafflingly consist of 4 activists trudging through a field to the dozer).

The District has an extra special evacuation plan for the kiddies – although it will be hampered by "no sidewalks" and the heavy industrial area surrounding the school. (They are poor, mostly brown kids, after all).

So if there is a serious fire , explosion, or leak, as has been increasingly common in highly fracked Greeley, the girls and boys won't be able to get more than 150' away from the event.

Today's action was to draw attention to the district's shameful sellout of its own students, and Extraction Oil and Gas' shameful flouting of regulations, as well as Greeley City Council's craven decision to allow Extraction to continue construction next to the school. A similar installation was redirected so as not to allow well pads on a well-heeled golf course, according to Greeley Representative Dave Young.

What to do? Call your city council member, if you live in Greeley. Call Ken Buck, who has advocated for anyone "interfering with oil and gas development" to have a felony conviction. Call Jerry Sonnenberg, who advocated for the same thing (the bill died in the House).
