Who?

"At times one remains faithful to a cause only because its opponents do not cease to be insipid." - Nietzsche

I believe she won Next Food Network Star.

I'm not as sweet as I used to be.

Ah, yes . . .
Another "dedicated public servant."  Got it.

Discipline without purpose is tyranny.

What's her position on Payday lending?

She voted with the payday lenders both on the floor and in committee.

This issue is more important than endorsements.  No Democrat that supports payday lenders should be returned to office.

Does this mean AR supports the payday lenders?

I don't remember
any payday lending crackdown emerging from the House when he was speaker. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You are
There was a much-discussed bill in 2008 that failed by one vote (and Jahn was a NO vote).

Oy maybe 2007
It was one of the last two sessions prior to 2009

[ Parent ]

You guys preach so much about backing up info on the site...how about you try a lil of that yourselves...what bill? when? what vote?

HB 08-1310, if that's what you are referring to, passed the House and was killed in the Senate Appropriations Committee.

[ Parent ]
Thanks
I couldn't remember how it got killed and didn't have time to look it up.

[ Parent ]
Seeing how we're likely
to get a new Chair of the Senate Committee on Banking - Chris Dodd- perhaps now would be a good time to get federal legislation on these guys.
