From today’s White House press conference–so much for the Republican Party’s attempt to put daylight between itself and embattled U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore, as CNN reports:
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said President Trump continues to believe that the people of Alabama should decide Roy Moore’s fate in the Senate race, but reiterated that Trump wants elected officials who “support his agenda” in Congress.
“Obviously the president wants people both in the House and the Senate that support his agenda,” Sanders said Monday in the White House press briefing.
“The president feels that it’s up to the people of Alabama to make that determination of who their representative will be,” Sanders said.
Cory Gardner can say what he want. Moore just got greenlighted by the highest Republican in the land.
And if Moore wins, the odds of a vote to expel just dwindled.

Cory can always be counted on to do the right thing . . .
. . . bwahahahaha!
Is there a reason the people of Alabama shouldn't decide?
Basic human decency?
Is there a reason you're okay with a pedophile in the Senate?
Probably, because just like Moore and his supporters, Fluffy values neither the rule of law nor the Constitution? . . .
Every Other Terrible Thing About Roy Moore

It appears that the people of Alabama will decide. And they may decide to elect a pedophile/sexual abuser. But the President (who has bragged about sexually assaulting women) could have surprised everyone by stating that he did not want the people of Alabama to elect such a vile individual. Instead, the sex offender in chief is suggesting that a sex offender that supports is agenda is okay with him. It should be clear to all of the fundamental Christians being enticed. It is a deal with the devil – what could possibly go wrong?
It is hard to overstate the influence the leadership of the corporate evangelical community had in getting Donald Trump elected. The kind of emotion-based decision making necessary to be a fundamentalist Christian and the devotion required by the xenophobic, white nationalist, fascists running the White House kind of fit together like a hand in glove….
