BREAKING: Gardner Makes Statement on Trump/Corker Feud

UPDATE: The extended transcript via the AP:

Way to hold forth there, Senator.

—–

This just in via KUNC’s Bente Birkeland, after Sen. Bob Corker of Tennessee stated that the “vast majority of our caucus understands” Donald Trump could set America “on the path to World War III”–what does the head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) Sen. Cory Gardner of Colorado have to say?

A fat wad of nothing, that’s what.

  1. I’m amazed at the capacity of this country’s Republiclowns to endure the constant debasement of the Toddler-in-Chief — Widdle Cory is no exception.

    1. He's a cowardly con man, not stupid.  This is what he's trying to avoid:

With the exception of House Speaker Paul Ryan, there is no GOP politician who has debased himself more for the sake of accommodation with President Donald Trump than Vice President Mike Pence, who once enjoyed respect as a decent, consistent conservative. His ploy on Sunday shows he has permitted himself to be reduced to the status of the Washington Generals, the hapless stiffs the Harlem Globetrotters humiliate again and again.

To recap: Pence wasted taxpayer money, participated in a Trumpian divisive gambit to stoke racial animosity and made himself look like a spineless errand boy. Those who cheer him — including his legion of evangelical conservative supporters – should reflect upon the extent to which Trump has corrupted (morally, politically, intellectually) Pence — and them.

    1. Gardner is wrong. This is helpful to two parties:

The Democratic Party benefits because it hastens the collapse of the Republican Party. It might not happen quickly enough, but I'm cooking some popcorn right now.

Trump benefits because it distracts from his actual, ongoing agenda which is using the executive branch and the cabinet to destroy Immigrant families, Climate Change science, pollution regulations and the ACA.

    1. Moron is the wrong word. Trump is extremely focussed and consistent on his agenda (Monetizing his presidency for the Trump organization, White Supremacy, and destroying everything Obama has done). I see him as being extremely successful on those three items, which isn't the sign of a moron

Evil, sociopath, narcissist, self-centered, racist, yes.

      Moron, no.
